Home Nutrition Clinic Laboratory Testing

Depending on the nature of your symptoms it may be helpful to carry out laboratory tests.   We will always let you know whether a test is available through your GP, prior to recommending private testing.

Tests can range in price from £18 to £300.  We will only recommend tests when we feel that it will provide significant information which will benefit your health outcomes.  Although the initial cost of some tests may be high, test results enable us to put together a programme which is targetted and specific to your needs – this often means that your goals are reached more quickly.  All tests incure additional charge although some private healthcare policies will allow for the cost of these tests.

The laboratories we use offer some of the most advanced diagnostic services currently available in the UK. These include Biolab, The Doctors Laboratory, The London Clinic and Genova Diagnostics.

Some are in the form of test kits which you carry out in the privacy of your own home and then return by Next Day post to the laboratory for processing. Others may require that you visit the laboratory for samples to be taken. The majority of results will be available in 12 -14 business days.

You are under no obligation to have tests and we can still help you without going down this route.

When a ‘positive’ result is a good thing

The majority of the tests we run are looking to identify issues which can be resolved.  For example, a nutrient deficiency or the presence of a harmful microbe in the digestive tract.  This means that a positive result is a good thing - a contributing factor to your health issue has been identified and your nutrition programme will be designed to correct or address these issues.
