Pregnancy and Postnatal Nutrition

Back to Conditions

"Starting a family involves many lifestyle changes and is often a time of heightened interest around diet, health and the body. These workshops provide a friendly and relaxed environment where women and their partners can learn about the right food choices and how they can influence pregnancy and health outcomes." Elspeth Stewart BSc(Hons) - Workshop Leader

The Active Birth Centre offers a beautiful, spacious environment where you can enjoy the benefit of a variety of excellent classes, courses and workshops before and after the birth of your baby. Key Nutrition are delighted to be a part of the team. The Active Birth Centre is open to everyone - you do not need to attend their yoga classes in order to take part in the range of workshops and talks that they have on offer.

Nutrition for Pregnancy Workshop

This workshop gives you the opportunity to learn about nutrition and pregnancy in a social setting with other mothers.  Elspeth Stewart, the workshop leader, will provide insight into why certain foods are beneficial for you and your baby and why other foods are best enjoyed in moderation.  You will also receive recipe ideas and suggestions on how to adopt healthy eating principles into busy lives and existing families. Many of the principles discussed are applicable to all the family so what you learn on the day will be useful during pregnancy and beyond.
